Prayers & Thanksgiving

This page is dedicated to prayers for family, friends, and all humanity.  We pray for the healing power of our Lord for all.  Also, to give Thanks for the many blessings of this life.

Almighty God, we entrust all who are dear to us to thy
never-failing care and love, for this life and the life to come,
knowing that Thou art doing for them better things than we

⁹ Ви ж моліться отак: Отче наш, що єси на небесах! Нехай святиться Ім’я Твоє,

¹⁰ нехай прийде Царство Твоє, нехай буде воля Твоя, як на небі, так і на землі.

A Prayer for Ukraine

God of peace and justice, we pray for the people of Ukraine today. We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons. We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them. We pray for those with power over war or peace, for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions. Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them.

We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Amen.

Pope John Paul II’s Prayer for Peace

Lord Jesus Christ, who are called the Prince of Peace,

A Prayer attributed to St. Francis

Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is
hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where
there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where
there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where
there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to
be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is
in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we
